The Australian outback is perhaps one of the best places to explore the galaxy of stars in the night sky. The low humidity and minimal light pollution in the red centre allow you to view the stars and planets like you’ve never seen them before.

Learn more about the stars, planets, galaxy, Big Bang theory and cosmos with Ayers Rock Resort’s Astronomer in Residence Program, brought to you in partnership with ASTRO 3D.

Join one of the free Astronomy Information Sessions & Activities and meet and interact with the astrophysicist in residence.

These interactive astronomy sessions are held daily Monday to Friday.

It covers the key components of a CV and how you can use digital tools to provide an edge when building your CV.

What you’ll learn

  • Gain a deeper understanding of what a CV is an what its key components are
  • Get an overview of how to create a digital CV
  • Build awareness of some of the online tools available to help build and strengthen your CV
  • Build skills in thinking creatively about skills an experience and develop an understanding of how to showcase them effectively

Learn how to sell yourself to potential employers as well as write those annoying cover letter.

This session is designed to help you with the jobs you are applying for right now so if you have a current resume and job advertisement you wish to apply for bring it along with a USB to save your work.

Zero Waste Morning Tea

Moon Rabbit Cafe is hosting a morning tea to share tips on reducing waste in the kitchen, through healthy recipes and implementing sustainable practices at home.

You’ll hear from Sam, Moon Rabbit’s manager about what the cafe does to eliminate waste, from the supply chain to composting, as well as learn a few healthy zero-waste recipes and their nutritional benefits. We’ll also encourage people to share their own tips for reducing packaging and food waste.

Moon Rabbit Cafe is a low-waste social enterprise cafe, that offers hospitality training to youth with special needs. From zero disposal take away packaging to using broccoli stems and carrot tops, Moon Rabbit aims to not send anything to landfill and reuses everything it can.

Participation in the workshop is free. Discounts on coffees for morning tea participants.
