Artist Chrystal will help guide you through a virtual creative workshop that incorporating plastic objects found in your home. We have successfully launched our new virtual English Conversation Class online!

Adult learners who speak first languages other than English can now enjoy learning English from the comfort of their own home.

Please note, classes are:

  • Free of charge to participate
  • Currently available only at intermediate level
  • Held weekly on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 10am to 12pm

As the class is hosted on the Zoom platform, a decent level of computer and Internet knowledge is required to join.

Modified for those with Arthritis, to improve movement and flexibility and it helps reduce joint pain.

English Conversation Class LIVE ONLINE: Intermediate

Weekly online conversational English lessons for students of intermediate level. The classes will be delivered online using Zoom.

To join this class, participants need to:

  • Be a current member of Randwick City Library. Library membership is free and you can join online.
  • Be a resident of Australia, aged 18 years and over and from a background where English is not the first language spoken.
  • Have access to a computer, a tablet/iPad, or a smartphone, as well as a reasonably reliable internet connection.
  • Know basic computer skills (we will not be able to provide technology support during the class).
  • Have an email address for receiving the invitation link before the class starts.
  • Register through Eventbrite in advance (only one registration is required for each term).

Once you have registered, you will receive an automatic confirmation email containing further information for the classes. We will send you a link to join the class 2 hours prior and another reminder 15 minutes prior to the first session so please check your email inbox. Use the same link to join all sessions of this recurring event.

Learner Driver Knowledge Course

Join our interactive course sessions, which aim to help you gain your Learner’s licence with confidence. Receive driver education in literacy, language and numeracy to assist with the Driver Knowledge Test.
The last lesson will include a group booking at the RMS to sit the test to gain your learner’s permit. You will also receive access to computers to practice the RMS Learner Driver Knowledge Test. At the completion of the program you will receive a Letter of Exemption from the Learner Driver Knowledge Test fee.

  • Anyone who identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander is eligible for a fully subsidised position.
  • Anyone who is in receipt of a Centrelink benefit is eligible for a fully funded position.
  • Full fee $200 for ineligible applicants.

You must be at least 16 years old and no longer enrolled at school or equivalent to participate in this course.
