A Symposium of presentations on how adult learning is changing and the important role of the Library and community groups in supporting learning throughout life.
In addition, there will be a display of resources, international and Australian materials on good practice in fostering adult informal learning and learning festivals.
In a rapidly changing world with ageing populations, the transition to a longevity society, and the impact of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, and increased social fragmentation; it is increasingly important that we keep learning throughout our life to maintain our quality of life and well being.
Brain research has shown that the brain is more plastic than previously believed, and is able to change in the light of learning and new experiences.
