Choose your own adventure and share your photos during Adult Learners Week

From the 2026 ALW theme – Follow Your Compass – the Shire of Harvey is asking visitors and residents to visit places at each of the eight main points of the compass within the Shire and photograph something they have learnt at each.
The eight points are Myalup (North), Yarloop (North East), Korijekup (East), Roelands (South East), Wokalup (South), Binningup (North West), Brunswick (West) and Australind (South West).
Things to learnt might include where there is shade to enjoy a coffee in Myalup, what flowers can be named on Korijekup’s wildflower walk – and lots more.
An Adventurers’ morning tea will then be held on Tuesday 8 September so that participants can talk about where they went and share the photos. This information will also be shared the following day with housebound residents at the local aged care lodge.
To start off, collect an adventure card and a guide from the Harvey library along with materials about local Art and Heritage trails. These will be available from 17 August until the 8 September morning tea.
