The wetlands of Hobsons Bay are home to the Altona Skipper Butterfly (Hesperilla flavescens), a rare and threatened species.
Join us via ZOOM on Saturday 5th, 10 – 11am to learn how to draw skippers and other native butterflies, and learn a thing or two about their anatomy and where to find them. You’ll have the week to work through a self directed project and we’ll convene on ZOOM again on the Saturday 12th September, 10 – 11am.
Here we’ll work through any questions that may have arisen and share your what you’ve created.
Your tutor Chris Rockley will guide you in specialised natural history drawing techniques. You will need to download the Basic version of ZOOM to participate in the two contact sessions. Your workbook and notes for the week will be emailed out as a printable PDF.
We will provide a list of any materials you’ll need to complete the project once you book your spot. Due to Covid 19 we’ll be keeping it as simple as possible.
Proudly sponsored by Hobsons Bay City Council.
