As part of our Health My Way Program The Place is hosting FREE drum circles for mental health & wellbeing led by the amazing Earthen Rhythms African Drumming.
Earthen Rhythms will be bringing their vibrant drumming energy and expertise to help you to let go and find your rhythm! Their talented facilitators teach rhythm in a safe, upbeat and easy way and they bring joy and laughter to the community through the infectious rhythms of West Africa.
This is a wonderful opportunity to have fun, connect with your community and experience the many benefits of drumming. As part of the workshop we’ll also be sharing some valuable online resources for managing your mental health and wellbeing.
Sanitised drums and refreshments will be provided, just bring yourself! Social distancing practices will be followed and numbers are strictly limited so get your FREE ticket today to secure your spot.

In partnership with Active Parramatta, funded by Sports Australia, the over 55s Leisure and Learning Service will be running free activities online via Zoom in Term 3 (from 20 July)!
This is a restorative and recovery program designed to aid the body and mind using Yoga & Pilates Foundations. Learn simple breathing techniques, gaining flexibility, strengthening the mind and body, improving range of motion with guided relaxation
PLEASE NOTE: If you are a new participant, a registration form must be completed via the link below and return it to the office for processing – this is required to be filled in so you can register with your online booking.
Important Information:
- Spots are limited
- Registration is essential
- An email with zoom link details will be sent by the tutors prior to commencement
- Requirements to access this mode of delivery: internet access, a tablet OR smartphone OR computer screen with a webcam & working audio
- It is the responsibility of the participant to communicate all medical issues and injuries with the facilitator prior to facilitation
- Participants do so at their own risk and will be required to complete a pre-activity questionnaire
- As a requirement for the Sports Australia funding, an online survey will be required to complete in the beginning and end of the term.

Weekly online conversational English lessons for students of elementary level. The classes will be delivered online using Zoom.
To join this class, participants need to:
- Be a current member of Randwick City Library. Library membership is free and you can join online.
- Be a resident of Australia, aged 18 years and over and from a background where English is not the first language spoken.
- Have access to a computer, a tablet/iPad, or a smartphone, as well as a reasonably reliable internet connection.
- Know basic computer skills (we will not be able to provide technical support during the class).
- Have an email address for receiving the invitation link before the class starts.
- Register through Eventbrite in advance (only one registration is required for each term).
Once you have registered, you will receive an automatic confirmation email containing further information for the classes. We will send you a link to join the class 2 hours prior and another reminder 15 minutes prior to the first session so please check your email inbox. Use the same link to join all sessions of this recurring event.
