Make a crate with the Bower

September 3 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm AEST

Free

The 3 hour Make a crate workshop is designed to give a basic introduction to carpentry and woodworking skills. During the workshop, each participant will build a small crate from reclaimed timber that they can take home with them at the end of the session.

  • This course is open for beginners (18 years and over) with no prior woodwork experience.
  • Tools and materials relating to the project will be provided by The Bower.
  • We ask that participants ensure that long hair is tied back and appropriate footwear (closed shoes) is worn.
  • Please bring along the following PPE: facemask, safety googles/glasses and earmuffs or earplugs.

The Bower is an award-winning environmental charity and a champion of reuse and repair.  We are a not-for-profit committed to reducing landfill.

This workshop is at Rozelle Bay Community Native Nursery, 22 Wisdom St Annandale. Please don’t enter via Whites Creek Valley Park as it will be busy with people setting up for the festival which starts at 11am.

If you have any questions about this workshop please email education@greenlivingcentre.org.au or phone 0466 428 063.

This free workshop is presented by Inner West Council as part of Footprints Ecofestival 2022.
