September 5 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm AEST

o

Aboriginal people have the oldest living culture on earth. The use of bush tucker has been gaining interest in recent years with a global focus on hyper-seasonal, locally sourced menus. The use of native ingredients to make delicious mocktails and super drinks is also experiencing increasing interest and popularity.

Although the native foods ingredients have been around for thousands of years, they are new for a lot of people.

Libraires Tasmania- West Coast libraries are providing an opportunity during Adult Learners Week for the community to experience the use of these ancient foods in contemporary Aboriginal refreshments.

Yinnaar Birrum will be sharing her recipes and skills in making yummy native drinks. The bases of which can also do double duty by also being used for ice-cream toppings!
