Araya Dammai – Tasmania

Araya, 57, comes from a business family and has a background in hotel management in Thailand. After getting married, she moved to Tasmania and enrolled in an AMEP course while settling into life there.

Araya has recently completed her Certificate III in EAL and is now embarking on a new field of study, undertaking a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing).

Throughout her studies, Araya has shown remarkable persistence and determination. She has studied consistently, overcome challenges, and remained committed to meeting the demands of her course and achieving her goals.

Her journey is a wonderful example of resilience, lifelong learning and the courage to embrace new opportunities, reflecting her belief that “knowledge is always valuable and useful”.
