To celebrate ALW’s 30th anniversary, we introduced a STAR (Student Teaching And Relationship) Award to recognise an outstanding adult learner who demonstrates exceptional commitment to mentoring fellow students.
This new recognition was designed to celebrate learners who go above and beyond to support other learners through guidance, knowledge sharing, and leadership. Read about all the fabulous learner mentors nominated.
Steffi-Lee Frankland, Community College Northern Inland, was given this award. Her trainer said that “some people become quiet leaders in a learning environment, simply by how they show up for others. Steffi-Lee Frankland is one of those people”.
Two other students were highly commended: Faye Hodgetts, Loaves and Fishes Tasmania, and Kaine Duggan, Chisholm Institute in Victoria.
