Tran Chau Tran – Victoria
Tran joined Comm Unity Plus to study English, determined to improve her language skills for both her own future and her son’s.
Tran has clear career goals and wishes to work in the education support sector, particularly in disability services. Her enrolment was driven by a genuine desire to build confidence, gain independence, and create better opportunities for herself and her family.
Tran is an outstanding learner who consistently demonstrates diligence, commitment, and passion for learning. She actively engages in all classroom activities and contributes thoughtfully to discussions. Beyond her own progress, she willingly assists lower-level learners in group activities, showing patience and encouragement. This quality makes her a valued peer and role model within the class.
She has excellent attendance, displays respectful behaviour towards teachers and classmates, and approaches challenges with persistence. Her proactive attitude, positive energy, and collaborative spirit highlight her as a truly exemplary adult learner.
Before joining the program, Tran described herself as shy and lacking confidence in speaking English in public. Through regular participation in lessons and activities, and supportive feedback, she has gained confidence in both speaking and socialising. She now engages in conversations with peers and community members with much greater ease.
In addition, her writing skills have improved significantly through structured practice, and her digital literacy has also developed as a result of using technology in class. These skills have not only empowered her in the classroom but also in daily life, making her more independent and self-assured.
Tran is eager to continue her learning journey by pursuing studies in education support, with a particular interest in working within the disability sector. She believes this pathway will allow her to contribute meaningfully to her community while also achieving personal and professional fulfilment.
