Lillie means business
Lillie had struggled with the mainstream school education system and was looking for a change, so she could enter a career in business studies. She began studying at TAFE NSW in February 2023, determined and motivated to successfully complete the Certificate 2 in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways.
Lillie has a strong passion for learning and a strong commitment to gaining new knowledge and skills. She is close to completing the Certificate 2 in Career Preparation and has just enrolled in the Certificate 3 in Business Studies.
Lillie has experienced a diverse range of life challenges but has not let this stop her progress towards achieving her goals. Despite being an early school leaver with poor past experiences in school, Lillie has demonstrated a love of learning, passion for new knowledge and skills, and a need to develop and grow academically. Lillie is an independent and enthusiastic learner who pushes through challenges and is determined to succeed.
Lillie was looking for an adult education program that would give her a qualification that was equivalent to Year 10. Lilly achieved this in Semester 1 2023 in the Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Training. The Certificate 2 programs have provided Lillie with career development skills and guidance in developing a career pathway in Business Administration.
Since commencing her studies with TAFE NSW Lillie has become more confident, organised and able to assist others in developing new knowledge and skills.
Lillie will complete Certificate II in Career Preparation and Certificate III in Business Administration in Semester 2, 2023.
The Scholarship Funds would greatly assist Lillie to purchase a laptop so she can complete learning activities both in and outside class. Lillie aims to then move onto the Certificate IV in Business Administration.
Lillie is interested in working in local government or businesses that will enable to use her administrative knowledge and skills.
