Jacinta McRae was working in the disability sector when she decided she wanted to gain a qualification for her own development and to help her be a better disability support worker.

Undertaking a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Community & Learning Centre, Jacinta has gained new insight into policies, procedures and regulations and a better day to day understanding of how working and supporting people with a disability matters.

As a result, she feels that she has grown as a support worker and as a person, and feels that she has so much more to offer her clients as a result of her learning.

Jacinta’s experience has also proved an advantage for her classmates as Jacinta is always willing to share her knowledge with them.
