This free IT course is designed to help senior citizens build confidence and competency in basic digital skills. The goal is to enable them to use Tablets, smartphones, and the internet efficiently and securely in everyday life. The course will focus on hands-on learning and tailored support, ensuring all participants are comfortable with technology by the end of the program.
Basics
– What is the internet? (browsers, search engines, and websites)
– How to connect to Wi-Fi
– Navigating the web safely: opening, closing, and bookmarking websites
– Practice: Searching for useful information online (news, weather, etc.)
– Introduction to smartphones and tablets: basic features
– Downloading and using apps (WhatsApp, Zoom, etc.)
– Introduction to streaming platforms (YouTube, Netflix, etc.)
– How to watch TV shows, movies, and live events online
– Exploring online radio and podcasts
– Taking photos with smartphones and cameras
– Basics of photo editing (cropping, filters, etc.)
– Understand online safety and be able to recognize common security risks.
– Be able to access digital media and enjoy online entertainment.
