The point of Katandra is simple.
We believe that if you can talk, you can sing – with us!

No auditions required.

Be involved in a group where women can have fun, develop new skills, sing out and become friends.

Our repertoire comes from a wide range of musical styles including:

Jazz
Pop
Medieval
Folk and
World Music.
Everyone will find something that they can enjoy.

We choose our music based in whether it is beautiful, a great arrangement of parts, has vocal skill building features and is fun to sing.

Aside from vocal warm ups, members also learn about vocal technique and music composition and performance.

We workshop these through interactive musical activities.

Everyone mingles and can explore their voice qualities in small group exercises.

Apart from being a lot of fun, this is a certain way to boost vocal confidence and build musical ability.

Our musical arrangements are easy to learn through our online rehearsal recordings.

Members can practice at home, load them onto your phone, play them in the car, on walksÉ or whatever works for best for you.

Katandra has members located from Shellharbour to Nowra.

We rehearse each week in Ki AMa and Berry and also enjoy performing together as one group.

We donate income from our concerts towards supporting women’s issues in our community.
