Mindful Movement & Meditation

Health and wellbeing

Meditation and mindful movement practices has proven to improve emotional and mental health, reduce stress, control anxiety and enhance self-awareness – but sometimes it’s difficult to know where to start.

That’s why we want to offer you weekly sessions to practice mindful movements in a safe and warm environment at our Community Hub.

We encourage you to join us, so that you may build skills and knowledge that can be transferred in any situation.

We meet every Thursday afternoon from 4pm to 5pm.

This is a chance for you to rest, be still, and put your worries in perspective.

Each session is $5 per session.

We offer computer classes for seniors every Thursday afternoon.

  • Learn how to use your computer
  • Learn how to use the internet, including Skype
  • Only four students per class.

Brush up your skills every Thursday at 2.30pm at Shop 83a, Eastlakes Shopping Centre.

This courses are free of charge, but places are limited and bookings are essential.

Create, Make, Shine – Multimedia Taster Classes

The Create Make Shine project is a multi-media learning program designed to empower students in using technology creatively to produce engaging content in the forms of, photography, video and sound.
Students can enrol to learn professional techniques and skills in using cameras, lighting, equipment, software and drones over the duration of the course.
The classes are structured to allow students to choose from 5 different workshops (or why not do all 5!):

Photography
Film Making and Directing
Film Making Editing
Drone flying and filming
Audio Production

Educator Tim McCartney is a Masters of Media and Communication Graduate and since has accumulated 10+ years of industry experience on feature film sets, music videos, photography shoots and flying drones over the tallest waterfalls and buildings in the world. He is eager to pass on his knowledge in media and help his students excel in the area of creative media production of their choice.
