Nicholas (Nick) Parlevliet, Victoria

Starting work as a junior service coordinator in the disability sector, Nick Parlevliet realised he wanted to build a career in the sector. To build his knowledge and skills, he enrolled in a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Community & Learning Centre before moving on to a Diploma in Community Services.

As a young man in a predominantly female oriented workforce, Nick impressed his teachers by always completing his study work on time and to a high standard and willingly assisting others in the classroom.

Nick now wants to enrol in specialized courses in the community services sector such as counselling, mental health or youth work. He believes that there is no limit to what he can learn and that the more knowledge he has, the better equipped he will be to support others.
