Geri-Fit is a FREE strength-training program for participants who are aged 60 years and over. The Geri-Fit program will commence on 18 July 2023 and run for 12 consecutive weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The program is part of a national pilot of physical-activity-based program AMs to be delivered in Australian public libraries. It is seated, strength-based training, using light weights and resistance bands.
Geri-Fit is designed specifically for older adults to help with gently building their strength, which ensures a higher level of function throughout the aging process. It is safe, effective, fun and social, with proven health outcomes.
The program duration is 45 minutes and will run twice a week for 12 weeks at Belconnen Library.

We will visit McCarthy Memorial Park, churches, schools, Holland House, where we will stop for light refreshments and shopping.
